Synopsis: From Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall comes this gripping reimagination of the night before the assassination of the civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1968. On a stormy night in Memphis, Dr. King has just delivered his seminal “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech. When he retires to the Lorraine Motel, a mysterious stranger arrives, pressing him to confront his destiny – and what his legacy will mean for America.
