Meet Our 24/25 Riverdog: Dorothy
Dorothy was a six-year-old English Mastiff who lived with Mark and Laurie Zaiger. She was named after Laurie’s mother, Dorothy Theobald. Although she weighed 150 pounds, she was a snuggler who loved to lean against or sit on her family and friends. Dorothy had many special skills including opening the French door to let herself in from the backyard, keeping the home safe by barking at anyone arriving or just walking by, and slobbering on everyone’s best clothes. Her gentle demeanor and generally chill personality were hidden by her large size and loud bark. As Ron Clark stated, “Dorothy was a magnificent beast.”
