I, WILL: A LATE ROMANCE (world premiere)

London, 1608. William Shakespeare finds himself getting older and striving to retain his relevances – all while placating his fellow actors, meeting the king’s demands, and dodging the plague. It will take a stroke of genius to turn this chaos into the last great movement in the Bard’s writing: the Romance plays. Written by Emmy-winning producer and playwright Scott Carter, whose previous play The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord was produced by Riverside in 2019.
