What’s Going On?: a 1971 Cabaret

1971 was a banner year for music: Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Marvin Gaye each released seminal albums that have stood the test of time. Young upstarts like Elton John and David Bowie were releasing their earliest work. And supergroups like the Temptations were still active and vital. This first cabaret in our new space salutes to music of 1971 to accompany the play “Eden Prairie 1971”. Featuring an all-star group of local singers, including Mia Gimenez, Anthony Hendricks, Carrie Houchins-Witt, Kristin Behrendt DeGrazia, and many others will bring their considerable talents to interpreting over a dozen songs from this era in our brand-new lobby – fit for cabarets!

Covid Protocols 

• Masks are required to be worn correctly by all staff, volunteers, and patrons while in the venue including the duration of all performances.
• In addition to embracing face-masks as a public health tool, we require all patrons to present a 72- hour (or less) negative COVID-19 test for each individual attending the performance, at every performance. We will accept documentation of vaccination via a vaccine card in lieu of a negative COVID-19 test. Appropriate documentation for a vaccination card will include patron state-issued ID plus one of the following: physical vaccination card or a photo of each individual’s vaccination card. This policy will be enforced at all Riverside events unless otherwise noted.
• Please note that lobby cabarets are not socially distanced seating events. There will be rows of chairs as well as some high top tables, available first come, first served.
